In life he haunted her...in death she haunted him.

Love is eternal...
Weeks away from her twenty-first birthday, the date where she would assume control over her family legacy, a night terror robs Indie of the balance she was clinging to. The fight between life and death, good and evil, began the moment her thundering heart awoke her.
As far as Indie is concerned, there is not a myth, spoken fate, or curse that is stronger than her stubborn desire to have it all ... including him.

Rivulet Web of Hearts #11 Insight Series #7 Godly Games Fire and Ice Rivulet Series Book 1 eBook Jamie Magee

This book was one hell of a roller coaster. At first everything seemed off, the emotion, the places, the passing of time. You get totally thrown in the action and somehow remain there. There was a lot happening and a lot of details changing. This book is definitely plot based and the plot is really complex. It was a nice exercise to read it, I really enjoyed following Indie through her journey of life and death.
I think it was just brilliant. I have trouble to actually explain what I liked about the book without ruining it for everybody because if I give too much details that's not fun for the next reader.
So I liked the relationship between the characters even if I couldn't help myself thinking "too much exes around."
I liked the romance part even if I'm not sure I like the romantic interest. At the same time I'm not a fan of a strong female character needing male protection.
The sister interaction was nice, I would have liked to see a lot more family interaction though or memories.
But the plot was one of the most savory I read since "Crown of Midnight" even if in a different way.

Rivulet Web of Hearts #11 Insight Series #7 Godly Games Fire and Ice Rivulet Series Book 1 eBook Jamie Magee Reviews

Fire and ice collide in Rivulet, a story so unique and gripping it will have you on the edge of your seat.
Chilling twists and turns will keep you guessing to the very end and leave you breathless. The heated passion, the characters, and story will consume your mind long after you finish.
Indie, the heroine, is a strong, caring, independent force of nature. You can feel her agony and struggles in life and grow so attached that it doesn't take long for you to root for her. She is the type of character you can relate to and you find yourself wishing you had a friend like her.
Her soul mate is a character so memorizing that you find yourself melting when he is in her presence. If you have read the Insight or See series you will be reunite with some of the characters. Being able to see what some of the main characters from the other series are doing when they disappear from the other novel briefly to help a friend is like having an all inclusive backstage pass to their life. The way Jamie weaves the books together but yet keeps them separate enough that they are standalone series is brilliant.
Jamie Magee is a genius in the Web of Hearts and Souls and Rivulet is her best work yet. You do not need to read her Insight or See series in order to understand and love Rivulet, but her books are true masterpieces so I highly recommend them all.
I don't want to sound bias because I'm a huge Jamie Magee fan. BUT I must say this woman seems to amaze me with every release. Even if this is your first book of this web of love Jamie has created, I'm sure you can enjoy it like the rest of Jamie's fans. This love story has the perfect ingredients for obsession; action-lots of it-, drama, romance, mystery, suspense, unconditional love, I mean you name it and it has it. And if your already a fan then you know the wonderful world that was created for us. I have already fallen for skylynn and getting more of her in this book just made me love her more. Like How nurturing she is with Indie. And Indie. Wow love that girl those two are officially my two fav females in these books so far. Indie is very independent yet she knows where her heart belongs. She knows Sebastian/ Phoenix is hers just like she's his. But she doesn't let that modify her way of thinking or let's it get in the way. But can still feel (yes feel that's how well put together this story is) how much love and passion there is between both Indie and Sebastian/Phoenix. And the surprises you get along the way in this love story. Well they are sure going to keep you on your toes.
I can’t wait to see Indie mix with the Insight crew, especially Willow. They were friends once and I can’t wait to see what adding the Falcon’s into the mix will bring.

There were so many twists and turns to this story you never knew what to expect. Jamie Magee slowly revealed to you what she wanted you to know. She didn’t just dump everything on you at once. She slowly peels back the layers. Once you think that you understand something, BOOM, something knew is dropped in your lap. The way she does it pulls you from the reality you are in and brings you into the Web of Hearts and Souls. She pulls you inch by inch, detail by detail and you don’t even know what happened. This book pulls you in and keeps you. It won’t let go and you think about it for days afterwards. There is nothing better than a book that can do that to you.
So go out and get this book….this whole series. I promise, it is worth it!
I have been a stark raving fan of Jamie Magee since reading her book Insight. I have read everything she's written since, and I have to say that this book, Rivulet, has become one of my favorites!
You can't help but love Indie. She's such a spit fire and stands up for her family and friends. ;) She goes through soo much but has such strength! Then there is Phoenix...swoon! That is all I will say about him (I don't want to reveal too much!) All of the characters have that somethin' somethin' that adds to the fantasticness to this book! ;)
This book captured my attention from page one and kept me up to the wee hours in the morning until I finished. There was some Ahh ha! moments and some swoon worthy moments for sure! And I totally recommend this book if you are looking for a great read!
I received an advanced copy for my honest review.
I had the privilege to read an advance copy for my honest review.
~The icy tale of a girl who will stop at nothing to not only save herself but those she cares for, with a fire in her heart that cannot be stopped she will rise above. A raw story of how fire and ice not only collide but come together.
~I am a fan of Jamie Magee's work but she has outdone herself with Rivulet. I read this book in a day, I was completely consumed and unable to put it down. I would re-read things from time to time just to feel the essence of the story a little deeper. The passion, the depth, the pure core of the characters has yet again amazed me. I am in awe of the book, and the vision that I read. Congratulations on a brilliant work of art, I was completely blown away.
~If you have not yet read Jamie Magee's work start with this, it is pure talent on paper.
